What’s New In This Release?
ECi is loading Version 9.1.6.2 build 2976 or higher on your live ECinteractive® and is.D-Force® 2 Web servers this weekend. The software update for this planned maintenance release will take place between 9 PM CST Saturday, Feb. 6, and 6 AM CST Sunday, Feb. 7.
Since this falls within ECi's Standard Weekly Data Center Maintenance timeframe
(www.DDMS.com/support/massfax/dcMtceWindow.htm), it does not require any changes to your Site Maintenance schedule.
In this release, you'll find the following software enhancements:
Switch to Standard Results if Enhanced Content is Unavailable
We've enhanced the Quick Search and Enhanced Search logic to switch to Standard Content at the Dealer Advisory Board’s request to eliminate unnecessary instances when shoppers encounter "No results found." (10482)
If a shopper searches a site where Enhanced Content is enabled, the "Did you mean ___" feature will still suggest appropriate keywords for common misspellings.
However, whenever results are unavailable from Enhanced Content, the system will now automatically query Standard Content. If still no results are available, then the system will display “No results found” as usual. Otherwise, the system will return any available results using the original ECinteractive Advanced Search interface.
- If provider connectivity issues or incomplete synchronization caused this switch, the system will continue to search Standard content for the rest of the current session. When the shopper closes and reopens the browser, the system will again attempt to search Enhanced content.
- If a lack of results caused the switch, there is no need to restart the browser. The system will continue to search Enhanced content.
In other words, errors in synchronizing or connecting with the Enhanced Content Provider (ECP) will temporarily turn off the Enhanced Search refinements for that shopper’s browser session. However, when an Enhanced Search merely fails to return results, ECP refinements remain in force.
Other Changes:
- 10766: Corrected the Administrative Checkout Web page so when the Allow Editing of Long P/O check box is blank, the shopper cannot change the long purchase order number on the Checkout page. Previously, the system allowed editing the P/O number even when the box was left un-checked. This has been corrected.
