What’s New In This Release?

ECi is loading Version 9.0.7 on your live ECinteractive® and is.D-Force® 2 Web servers this weekend. The software update for this maintenance release will take place between 9 PM CST Saturday, Aug 22, and 6 AM CST Sunday, Aug. 23.

Since this falls within ECi's Standard Weekly Data Center Maintenance timeframe
(www.DDMS.com/support/massfax/dcMtceWindow.htm), it does not require any changes to your Site Maintenance schedule.

In this release, you'll find the following software changes:

23-Character SKUs in QuickOrder, Web Specials (Get DDMS 8.19+!)

Enhance Quick Order by increasing the number of characters allowed from 18 to 23. (9769)

Enhanced by allowing up to 23 characters to be entered in the SKU box in the Administrative Web Specials page. Previously, the SKU box only allowed a maximum of 15. (10155)

Note: These 23-character SKUs require a GOA change released in DDMS 8.19. You'll find more details on DDMS 8.19 here and the maintenance release DDMS 8.19.20 here.

You can download your software update by logging into the ECi Customer Support Portal, clicking Software Downloads from the top menu, and following the on-screen steps.

Easily View and Map Uncategorized Custom Items

We have enhanced the Custom Product Management's Catalog List page by adding an "i" button to the grid by the number of Not Categorized items. Click the button to view a list of uncategorized items, and easily map them to your category trees.

Uncategorized Products pageClicking this "i" button brings you to the Uncategorized Products page, where you can select items, drill down to a subcategory, and Map Selected Products to the Category.

This enhancement is useful when maintaining several catalogs and corresponding items. (9430, 10161)

For detailed instructions, see the updated Setting Up Custom Items & Catalogs (pdf).

Renamed Punchout Log to External Partner Log

Due to the expanding scope of what was known as the Punchout Log, we've renamed it to External Partner Log. Previously, it only applied to punchouts like JumpTech's barcode scanning service. This paved the way to display item and posting detail for XML ordering and procurement systems, including (but not limited to) the upcoming microsites for MeadWestVaco and Hewlett-Packard, as well as ARIBA procurement systems. See Troubleshooting Punchout and Microsite Orders in the External Partner Log. (10094)

Improved Enhanced Search Logic for Next Page of Results

We've adjusted the search filtering logic to accommodate changes in United Stationers' system. A search for Post-It initially returned about 200 results, but the Next Page returned a broader set of results due to a missing field in the Enhanced Content Provider data. Now, the Next Page of search results is consistent with the content and count returned on the initial results page. (10094)

Additional High-Priority Solutions

  • Corrected the Reward Points total displayed in My Account > Rewards > Transaction History under the "Redeemed" column so that when adding reward points to a user from within the is.D-Force 2 Admin Control Panel, it no longer shows a confusing negative symbol. (8797)
  • Corrected the Multi-Department Ordering feature in the Shopping Cart to save the line item department changes when you click Checkout as well as when you click Save Changes, so that it no longer results in an invalid department error. (9207)
  • Corrected the checkout logic to strip tilde and caret characters from Short PO, Long PO, shipping instructions, special instructions and line item comment fields when submitting the order to DDMS, to avoid conflict with reserved symbols. (9632)
  • Corrected the Order History page so that a user with Multi-Department Ordering privileges may look up by invoice number even if the invoice was not for their default department. Requires GOA changes released in DDMS 8.19. (9665)
  • Corrected Order History's GOA packet use to properly display invoices with subsequent dash tickets, such as 1001359-1. Requires GOA changes released in DDMS 8.19. (9669)
  • Enhanced the functionality of the Find Catalog By SKU page in your SiteInfo menu, just like the site drop-down list at the top right corner of every Admin Control Panel page. If you have multiple ECinteractive or is.D-Force sites, you can begin typing in the Site box, and the system automatically attempts to retrieve the record and populate the box according to the initial characters being entered. (10195)
  • Enhance Quick Order by increasing the number of characters allowed from 18 to 23. Requires GOA changes released in DDMS 8.19. (9769)
