How Do I Set Up My "Down For Maintenance" Page?

Your Web storefront will be unavailable during these maintenance periods. You can schedule your site to be Offline for Maintenance by following these simple steps:

  1. Log into your ECinteractive or is.D-Force2 site’s Administrative Control Panel.
  2. (Optional) Click Site News, and then click Page Editor. Create or edit a Scheduled Maintenance page to include some text that will encourage your customers to log off before your scheduled maintenance period begins, so their work will be cached properly.
  3. Click Global Settings, and then click Site Maintenance.
  4. In the Time Settings box, check your Time Zone and Daylight Savings settings.
  5. In the Automatic Scheduled Maintenance box, enter the appropriate times in the Time Off and Time On boxes, in the format HH:MM AM or PM, for JUST Weekend. (Leave the Weekday time fields blank unless you have set them up for your DDMS system maintenance such as backup and day-end.)
  6. (Optional) Select your Scheduled Maintenance page, for JUST Weekend. (Leave the Weekday page field blank unless you have set them up for your DDMS system maintenance such as backup and day-end.)
  7. Click the Auto Maintenance Mode On button. At the Are You Sure message, check your time settings. If they are correct, click OK.
  8. Click the Update button. The changes are implemented within one minute.

NOTE: On Monday after the software update is complete, you may wish to return to these settings, and simply adjust the Weekend time off and on settings, so that your site is not unnecessarily shut down for maintenance on other weekends.

Future Enhancements - ECinteractive/is.D-Force2 7.4

Development Status: In Development

Release Date: Late February 2008

Some of the enhancements scheduled for the next version of the ECinteractive and is.D-Force® 2 family of products include:

  1. A/R Phase II - Pay Online via Credit Card: In addition to viewing invoice history and printing a remittance, end users can now pay them online via credit card using the Pay Invoice option of the My Account menu. (4525)
  2. Order Management Page: Administrators will have the ability to delete open or saved orders, or transfer them to another user in the same account. This will be especially helpful if a user leaves the company with pending orders or approvals. (3608)
  3. Shopping for Others: Any time after login, the end user can choose the account, department, and recipient name they would like to use while shopping the site. Previously, these changes were limited to the checkout page. (4527)
  4. Password and Security Question Reset: When users forget both their password and the answer to their security question, the Admin Customer Management page will now be able to manually reset both. The user will be prompted to set up a new password and security question and answer. (5705)
  5. Custom Credit Card Process Text: Dealers can now define the text displayed to end users during credit card processing after an order is submitted. (4538)
  6. Login Page - Customize Text: This enhancement allows dealers to customize the text displayed to end users on the login page. (3788)
  7. Check Out Page - Custom Error Text: Dealers can customize the messages displayed to end users if errors are made in an order submission. Error messages will be displayed to the user immediately, or e-mailed to the order's originator. (4537)
  8. Display Settings Page: The administrator's site customization page will now offer tabs for easier navigation. (5839)
  9. Categorizing MyFavorites: When a MyFavorites List has more than 25 products, each user can choose whether to display the full list (sorted by item number) or break down the list by catalog category. (3856)
  10. Order Entry Exempt Synchronization: In Ensite Pro™, accounts are sometimes flagged to restrict orders (using the O/E Exempt field). A Gateway change will require an Ensite Pro software update. In ECinteractive, users flagged as exempt will no longer be able to place orders, but will still have access to account information, such as order history and invoices. (5445)
  11. Assign Accounts To Multiple Locations: We are adding more flexibility to the Admin Control Panel's Site Info for managing locations and accounts. Now customer accounts can be assigned among multiple G/L inventory locations or departments, and reassigned as needed. (5021)
  12. A/R Remittance Address Postal Codes: This enhancement allows dealers to enter alphabetic characters in the ZIP/Postal Code field of their A/R Remittance Address settings in the Admin Control Panel. This accommodates, for instance, Canadian postal codes. (4725)
  13. SPR Machine Matching: A Product Comparison has been added for Web storefronts using the S.P. Richards catalog for MyMachines (not applicable for is.D-Force2 sites). (5997)
  14. More Info: On the Web storefront Product Detail pages, a More Info button will appear if the manufacturer has provided a link to additional information. The button will open a pop-up window that presents the manufacturer's additional content. (3992)
  15. Multi-Department Ordering Lookup: When users on is.D-Force2 sites enter orders for multiple departments, they can select from a drop-down list of available departments, instead of having to enter the exact department ID. (4834)
