What’s New In This Release?

ECi plans to load Version 7.3.5 of ECinteractive® and is.D-Force® 2 onto production Web servers this Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 — between 10 PM and 6 AM Eastern Time. This release includes the following changes:

• Enhanced the performance of the Web storefront Favorites logic so when an end user adds, changes, or deletes an item in a favorites list, the system batch sends all the changes into three database calls - one for additions, one for changes and one for deletions. (6927)
• Enhanced the performance of the Web storefront Pay Invoices logic so only one database call is generated for each department, instead of a call for each invoice. (6929)
• Corrected the Print Remit Form function in the Web storefront's Pay Invoices page, so that the customer's billing address prints properly. (5879)
• Corrected Web storefront Quick Search and Advanced Search pages so turning off the site parameter Allow Punctuation in Item Numbers removes punctuation in those pages as well as the original Quick Order page. See also QC#6405. (6782)
• Corrected the Web storefront login error message to align properly in relation to the username and password fields. (6924)
• Corrected the is.D-Force 2 function for multi-department ordering to filter site-specific departments. Previously, allowing Multi-Department Ordering would generate "invalid item" and "invalid department" errors on the is.D-Force 2 Web storefronts in some cases. (6723)
• Corrected the ECinteractive Web storefront Product Detail pages so when using the S.P. Richards Enhanced Search feature, the system displays the item catalog page number. (6797)
• Corrected the ECinteractive Admin Control Panel's Customer Management page so the Contracts/Laundry Lists tab displays when adding a new user. (6916)
• Corrected the Administrative Site Info page to display Caribbean Islands (Cayman, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, etc) options in the State selection box. (6220)

How Do I Set Up My "Down For Maintenance" Page?

Your Web storefront will be unavailable during these maintenance periods. You can schedule your site to be Offline for Maintenance by following these simple steps:

1. Log into your ECinteractive or is.D-Force2 site’s Administrative Control Panel.
2. (Optional) Click Site News, and then click Page Editor. Create or edit a Scheduled Maintenance page to include some text that will encourage your customers to log off before your scheduled maintenance period begins, so their work will be cached properly.
3. Click Global Settings, and then click Site Maintenance.
4. In the Time Settings box, check your Time Zone and Daylight Savings settings.
5. In the Automatic Scheduled Maintenance box, enter the appropriate times in the Time Off and Time On boxes, in the format HH:MM AM or PM, for JUST Weekend. (Leave the Weekday time fields blank unless you have set them up for your DDMS system maintenance such as backup and day-end.)
6. (Optional) Select your Scheduled Maintenance page, for JUST Weekend. (Leave the Weekday page field blank unless you have set them up for your DDMS system maintenance such as backup and day-end.)
7. Click the Auto Maintenance Mode On button. At the Are You Sure message, check your time settings. If they are correct, click OK.
8. Click the Update button. The changes are implemented within one minute.

NOTE: On Monday after the software update is complete, you may wish to return to these settings, and simply adjust the Weekend time off and on settings, so that your site is not unnecessarily shut down for maintenance on other weekends.
