Update on Your ECi Web Storefront

Announcing Dealer Station, is.D-Force 8.1.0

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 — ECI DDMS is loading Version 7.4.1 of Dealer Station® and is.D-Force® onto your live Web servers Saturday, April 19, 2008 — between 9 PM and 7 AM Eastern Time.

What's New In This Release?

This release includes the following changes, pending final testing Friday afternoon:

  • Enhanced Quick Search so that if the initial search returns no results, then commonly misspelled items will trigger "Did You Mean" spelling suggestions according to S.P. Richards Enhanced eContent database. This is meant to limit your shoppers' encounter of the error, "The current search criteria returned no results. Please adjust your search parameters and try again." (3607)
  • Corrected the User Settings to have "Display Proof of Delivery in Order History" enabled by default. Also corrected the Order History Detail page so that it no longer displays wholesaler delivery status and codes. (3614)
  • Corrected the Shipping Management page of the Admin Control Panel so that a user can change the default shipping option and click Save. Previously, it reverted to the original default when the user refreshed or navigated to another page. (3183, 3621)
  • Corrected the Update Users In Mass page of the Admin Control Panel, so that changes limited to a specific account number apply only to that account. Previously, toggling the Display Today's Specials flag would mass change all accounts. (3610)

How do I Set Up My "Down For Maintenance" Page?

Your Web storefront will be unavailable during these maintenance periods. You can schedule your site to be Offline for Maintenance by following these simple steps:

1. Log into your site's Administrative Control Panel, and click Automatic.

2. In the Automatically Shut Site Off for Maintenance box, enter the time to go offline, using a 24-hour clock.

Note: All server times are Eastern. For example, if you wish to turn off the site at 8:30 PM Eastern, add 12 hours for PM and type 20:30.

3. In the Automatically Turn Site Back On, enter the time to go back online.

4. Click Update Site Status.

5. Under Site Text, you can customize the Down for Maintenance message that will display at the top of the window and that your customers see if they login during the maintenance period.

For detailed instructions on scheduling site maintenance in Dealer Station or is.D-Force, see Chapter 1 of your Admin Manual.

We hope this information is helpful!
