What’s New In This Release?

DDMS Version 8.14.41 is available on request as of Monday, March 31, 2008. This maintenance release addresses a number of design changes, minor enhancements, and software issues. Here are some highlights:

For all dealers:

Purging Deposits. Corrected the (OR-E) function to properly purge deposits. In versions 8.13.44 - 8.14.0, the purge function was not properly updating the last account deposited in P-DEPOSIT or the Purged Deposits report. (53835)

P/O Special Notes. Corrected so AAAA or ZZZZ Specials entered during order entry print on the purchase order. In Version 8.14.0, these lines were not showing up when the P/O was created or during the short-buy process. (53816)
Bank Reconciliation G/L Numbers. Enhanced Bank Reconciliation so that you are no longer limited to 24 General Ledger numbers per account. (53784)
Fiscal Ledger Reports. Corrected so general ledger financial table reports use the proper year instead of the fiscal year. If operating on a fiscal calendar (closing G/L any month other than December), the fiscal year setting previously caused discrepancies in reports to financial institutions. (53346)

For office product dealers:

Synchronize Contracts and Laundry Lists with ECinteractive™. We've enhanced the DDMS GOA gateway to allow for efficient synchronization of contract and laundry list data with the ECinteractive family of Web storefronts. This will allow the Web catalog to match catalog prefixes denoting the manufacturer or brand from super-indexed items to online catalog databases. It also allows Web shoppers to navigate their Laundry Lists using the categories created in the back-end DDMS system, instead of the wholesaler catalog categories. (53692)

Note: This GOA update will be required to use synchronization enhancements for contracts and laundry lists in Version 7.4.1 of ECinteractive and is.D-Force®2, due for release in April.

For furniture dealers:

Show Zero Cost Parameter. Corrected so the furniture parameter Only Show Zero Cost/Sell Once set in the (LGC) screen does not affect verifying orders in commercial order entry. This parameter should only have an affect when verifying furniture orders. (53418)
Department Z. Corrected so items assigned to Dept. Z in Furniture P/O show up in the Post P/O tab with the correct dollar amount. (53144)

For machine dealers:

Retaining Meter Data After Buyout. Corrected the machine Order Entry lease buyout function so that it does not delete machine-specific meter data. (52821)
Lease Updates Meter. Corrected the Lease function in machine order entry so that it writes the meter reading to Z-METER.(53445)
Work Orders Prompts for Past Due/Hold. Corrected the Work Orders function for logging calls so, when the Update Exceptions field in the (EZ1S) Serial System Parameters screen is set to Y, the system gives the prompt "Past Due of $100 over 30 Accept?" and updates the Z-EXCEPT file. When the Update Exceptions field in the (EZ1S) Serial System Parameters screen is set to H, the system gives the prompt, updates the Z-EXCEPT file, and puts the call on hold. (52713)

If your company has reported one or more software issues, you automatically receive the software update that provides a resolution. As we announce the release, we are in the process of shipping your software update to affected dealers via United Parcel Service (UPS).

If your company did not report any issue specifically resolved with this release, you will not automatically receive the software update. However, a software update is available to you upon request.
