What’s New In This Release?

The DDMS® 8.12.40 maintenance release addresses a number of design changes, minor enhancements, and software issues. Here are some highlights:

For all dealers:

• Corrected so when using any Order Entry style or change mode, the system will reset the Don't Print field to the default. Previously, placing a checkmark by Don't print in the Order Totals tab would make that setting the default for subsequent orders until you closed the Order Entry window. (52353)
• Corrected AutoComm II so that when recipients reply, it uses the Reply Email Address instead of the Username set up in AutoComm II Administration settings. (53046)
• Corrected an issue with 8.12.32 so that running O/E History on a client machine no longer displays the error, "modNT:CreateObj:Error creating GOEHistoryServer.COEHistoryServer". (53059)
• Corrected so when a dealer's terminal is set to POS in the (L1) as the default and a commercial order is placed, the system does not force ship every item, but instead uses on-hand quantities to determine shipped and backordered quantities. (52947)

• Corrected so the system accepts lowercase characters in the text-based (L3) and (L7) screens. (52889)

• Corrected so the system does not display a Subscript Out Of Range error message when adding items to a laundry list. (44948)

For supply dealers:

• Corrected the 8.12.32 version of COM:SDFT so that it no longer loops through spooling and deleting United Stationers acknowledgements from the printer. (53061)

• Corrected so when the user downloads ASN's from S.P. Richards, the Ven-log file reports the proper exceptions. Previously, the report was displaying error descriptions for which no error code was shown. (53036)

• Corrected so when selecting to import an Excel item file in the Price Modeling window from a client machine, the system does not display an error message. (52876)

For furniture dealers:

• Corrected an issue with Modify Order application. In version 8.12.30, it would not launch when the selected order had a load factor applied. (53002)
• Corrected so that when you build a furniture purchase order for Global Industries and communicate it, Specials are properly written to the .fix file and thence communicated via Global PSN. (52927)
• Corrected an issue with communicating furniture purchase orders to Global Industries using various vendor IDs. Previously, an "invalid destination ID" error would occur if transmitting using a Vendor ID of anything other than GLOBAL. (52892)

For machine dealers:

• Corrected so when crediting a machine work order in graphical Order Entry, the specials from the original ticket properly display the credit on the (EZY-H) report for the machine and in the machine history.  (52850)
• Corrected so serialized meter billings with a department break out in the (EZI)[D] screen appear properly in the AR-BATCH file. Previously only the first department was being properly updated. (52728)
• Corrected so when doing a credit on a meter or contract billing, the system prompts the user to credit the third-party biller if one was assigned during order entry. (51526)

How do I get this version?

If your company has reported one or more software issues, you automatically receive the software update that provides a resolution. As we announce the release, we are in the process of shipping your software update to affected dealers via United Parcel Service (UPS).

If your company did not report any issue specifically resolved with this release, you will not automatically receive the software update. However, a software update is available to you upon request.

If you want to take advantage of the software changes in this maintenance release, we will be happy to ship it to you via United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground.
