ECi Loads ECinteractive 7.0.0 Friday Night

Dear ECinteractive customers:
ECi will load ECinteractive® Version 7.0.0 onto our Web servers this Friday night, May 18, 2007, between 10 PM and 6 AM Eastern Time.
Note: Affected Web sites will be unavailable during the software update period. If you wish to inform visitors that your site will be offline during the software update Friday night, we recommend editing your Site News (Page Editor and Site Text). You can even save a page to use as a template for future use.
Version 7.0.0 includes the following enhancements:
- Partial Item Number Entry — End users will be able to search for items by entering a partial SKU number. All items beginning with the specified number sequence will be displayed.
- Admin Training Menus — A new set of drop-down menus has been added to ECinteractive’s Admin page. Located directly below the top navigation bar, these menus provide links to the same functions as the buttons in the left-hand column. They are organized to follow the sequence our training department uses when teaching new dealers how to set up their site. This will simplify the training process and help dealers learn to administer their ECinteractive site more quickly.
- Filtering Item Management — The new filtering feature can help you narrow your list of items on the Item Management page of the Admin Control panel, under Site Customizing. You can filter the list based on the following columns: Prefix, Item Number, Name, Manufacturer, Pack Content, and Changed. Once you enter a search string, you can select filtering options such as Contains, Starts With, Ends With, and so on.
- Merchandising Products — This administrative tool lets dealers specify which items display first to the end user. Dealers assign the item to a specific icon group on the Manage Merchandising Product page.
