ECi Releases ECinteractive® 6.8
ECi will load Version 6.8 onto ECinteractive production servers this Friday through Sunday, Feb. 23-25, 2007. These updates will be performed during evening hours between 10 PM and 6 AM Eastern Time over the weekend. ECinteractive sites will be unavailable during these maintenance periods.
What's New? ECinteractive 6.8
Pending final testing this week, the Version 6.8 release includes the following features:
1. Online A/R Module — The new online accounts receivable module enables your customers to review and print outstanding invoices in either 30/60/90 day views, or drill down to line item detail for individual invoices.
They can also select invoices for payment — either by marking individual invoices or selecting all displayed invoices at once, then generate and print a remittance form in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF) format. This form includes the total due, your remittance address (separate addresses can be defined for each location you have set up in ECinteractive) and the specific invoices the customer is paying, simplifying your receivables.
Future enhancements to the module will allow direct, online payment of any accounts payable at the customer level. The Online A/R Module can be turned on for selected customers based on customer group.
2. Point Rewards — This release introduces an enhanced version of Dealer Station’s customer reward program. Create your own incentive programs that allow customers to earn reward points for each dollar spent. Customers can used accumulated points to purchase additional products. You have total control over the program, including which accounts are eligible, the ratio of dollars spent to points earned, and the point value of reward items. You can even set up multiple rewards programs, assigning different programs to different groups of customers.
New features unique to ECinteractive include the ability to award points to individual users, even if they are not the final approver of the order, and the option to apply all of a customer’s reward points to a single reward account. Depending on the customer’s preferences, access to this account can be restricted to one or more authorized end users; other users may not even be aware of its existence.
3. Catalog Management — You can now create more robust and detailed catalog offerings utilizing a more intuitive, drag-and-drop interface. Create your own custom categorizations, or use categories provided by the wholesaler and add your own dealer-unique items. The Catalog Management feature will tie into item management and allow you to create and save multiple catalogs unique to individual customers.
4. Higher Resolution Display — The 6. 8 update incorporates a higher, horizontal (1024 pixel) display resolution — the new standard for Web sites, compared with the previous 800 pixel-wide display. This higher resolution allows more data to be displayed on screen at one time, providing a more complete interactive experience.
