Dear ECinteractive® and is.D-Force® 2 Customers:
ACTION REQUIRED: If you are actively using ECinteractive and is.D-Force 2, and have not already installed DDMS 8.12, please send a software update request in reference to QC #51948 to ECi Technical Support. Please include your account number and shipping address for confirmation purposes.
We plan to release Version 7.1 to your ECinteractive and is.D-Force 2 servers next Friday, June 22, 2007.
Version 7.1 integrates your DDMS Additional Volume Discount plans with the ECinteractive platform. This integration replaces the Promo Items and Discounts plans, so you can manage promotional item rewards and discount offers in one place: your DDMS system’s Item database.
However, this integration required some back-end system enhancements, released in DDMS Version 8.12. To allow you to offer the same discounts for online ordering as order entry, or to enable separate discount offerings, we created a new field to assign online volume discounts. We also adjusted the communications gateway program to accommodate the volume discount tables, logic, and qualifiers.
If DDMS 8.12 or higher is not loaded on your system, errors will occur on your Web storefont, in both the Admin Control Panel and end user interface. The errors occur whether or not Additional Volume Discount plans are authorized or set up.
AUTHORIZATION NOTE: The additional volume discount feature is not included in all DDMS software packages and may require authorization. For more information, check your authorized programs (pdf) and/or contact ECi sales.
