Important Parameter Must Be Set
Prior to Importing Data Into SQL
Date: Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006
Dear DDMS Customers:
You are receiving this message because our records indicate we shipped your copy of the DDMS Version 8.11 software update.
We have discovered an important parameter setting was missing from the documentation for the new EnsiteEBS Utility. This parameter affects dealers who plan to use the new SQL applications, such as Customer Price Plans and Price Modeling. Omitting this setting can result in failure to log DDMS and DDMS data changes properly, causing incomplete synchronization with the SQL database on a recurring and daily basis.
Before you import your data into the SQL database with the EnsiteEBS Utility, you must first set the (LØ) Global Master Parameters setting, “Using RoadRunner?” to Y, as shown below.

If you have already imported your data into SQL, rest assured your work has been recorded properly in the system's DBF tables. All you have to do is set this parameter and then re-import your data and recent sales journals.
When you re-import data into SQL, be sure to select All, as shown in the figure below.

When you re-import sales journals, UNcheck the All box, and select only the JOUR-S and November sales journal, as shown below (while the example shows the recommended journal naming convention, your filename may vary):

For detailed instructions, see the online help topic, Setting (LØ) Screen Parameters
(www.DDMS.com/Resources/help/keyop/Setting__L___Screen_Parameters.htm) and Using the EnsiteEBS Utility Program (www.DDMS.com/Resources/Support/faq/utilities/ensiteebsutility.pdf).
We extend our apologies for any inconvenience this oversight may be causing. If you have any questions, please contact your ECi Technical Support team.
Sincerely,
ECi Technical Support
