S.P. Richards Monthly Price Plan Update

Effective July 1, 2007, S.P. Richards makes monthly update files available to O/PUS a few weeks before the 1st of each month.

Within 2 business days, O/PUS will upload the following files to the O/PUS PSN:

• All price plans, catalogs, and matrix catalogs that S.P. Richards assigns to multiple dealers.
• Dealer-specific price plans.
• Branch-specific price plans such as B01, B02, and so on, where the branch number is preceded by the letter B.
• A monthly Column Pricing file that updates standard column costs and list prices for all items carried by S.P. Richards, common to all branches. For the first month of each quarter (January, April, July, and October), O/PUS merges the Column Pricing into the quarterly update files OPUS, OPUSISG, and OPUSTPA; There is no need to load a separate monthly Column Pricing update during quarterly procedures. In subsequent months during the quarter, you can load the SPR-MAY and SPR-JUN monthly update files. However, we recommend that you do not add new items from the SPR-??? files (the monthly files' stock numbers are not processed against multiple vendors, and so duplicates may occur).

ECi Technical Support will then announce the monthly update file availability at the following locations:

• on the ECi DDMS Customer Support Portal.
• on the Recent Announcements / Mass Emails page.
• on the O/PUS Update Notes page.

Dealers may update their systems using one of two methods, either graphical multiloader (UpdateSPR.exe) or text-based (+IFP):

• When using graphical multiloader (UpdateSPR.exe):
• Download UPDATESPR from PSNControl, if you haven't already done so this quarter.
• Re-Select all previously loaded Price Plans, Catalogs, and Matrix files that you wish to update.
• In the Catalogs page(s) of the multiloader wizard, enter and select the SPR-MAY or SPR-JUN monthly update file. Again, we recommend that you do NOT “Add New Items” for reasons stated above.
• If your dealer-specific file is not found, ask your S.P. Richards representative if and when your file has been provided to O/PUS, wait two business days after that date to try again, and if the file is still not found, please complete the O/PUS PSN ‘File Not Found’ (Word .doc) or Adobe Reader PDF form.

• In the text-based (+IFP) screen:
  • As usual, use PSNControl to download:
    • the U_SPR loading program,
    • all previously loaded Price Plans, Catalogs, and Matrix files that you wish to update.
    • the SPR-MAY or SPR-JUN monthly update file.
  • In (+IFP), keep these notes in mind:
    • Enter the same DDMS contract number that you previously created during the quarterly O/PUS load.
    • Normally, you delete the original contract, when prompted to do so.
