Salesperson Concepts

One of the primary functions of the Salesperson database is to store information about your salespersons and order-writers. This information includes the salesperson or order-writer number, personal information such as address and phone number, and sales history for the current month, current year, and previous year. The sales history is updated from line entries in order entry.

Because your DDMS system is fully integrated, salesperson and order-writer information is supplied automatically to other parts of the system. This information is also used to keep an accurate history of commissions and sales for each salesperson. For information about commissions, see Sales and Commissions.

Each salesperson and order-writer must be assigned a unique number. You can then assign the appropriate salesperson number to each customer's account.

The Salesperson Database has five tabs.
