Reports Concepts

Customer reports can include information about each customer in your customer database. Customer reports are printed by double-clicking the Standard Customer icon or the Custom Customer icon on the Reports menu.

 

Custom Customer Reports

Custom Customer Reports use the Report Writer format, which offers you the greatest power and flexibility. Using this format, your reports can include any piece of customer information. You can customize a report to suit your needs and save it. Once these custom reports are set up, you can request them with only three or four keystrokes.

Standard Customer Reports

Standard Customer Reports let you request classic customer reports and labels using preset options. Requesting Standard Customer Reports is quick and easy.

 

To customize a Standard Customer Report, you use sorts and limits.

Sorts determine the order in which information is listed on a report. When specifying multiple sorts, you can indicate that the information for any member of a sort group begin printing at the top of a new page. This is called breaking page.

 

Limits define which records are included in a report. Rather than printing a report listing all customers in your database, you can limit the report to only a certain group of customers; those who ordered merchandise from you this month, for example.
