Setting Up ASB Parameters

Launcher parameters are set in the (LFA2) Short-Buy Launcher screen. You can specify the days and times at which the automated short-buy launches. You can set, change, view, or delete the days, times and call numbers that launch.

 

You can set up different launches for each G/L location. Begin by setting launches for location 1. Then set parameters for each location you run differently. If you do not set launches for a particular location, the parameters default to those set for location 1.

  1. From the DDMS Master Menu, double-click graphics\KEYOPMENUICON16.gif.

  2. Double-click graphics\PARAMETERS_ICON16.gif.

  3. In the Parameter Editor window, click Text Base Parameters.

  4. In the (L) Parameters screen, type F in the Selection Code field.

  5. In the (LF) Purchase Order Parameters Screen, type A in the Action field.

  6. In the (LFA) Automated Short-Buy Menu screen, type 2 in the Selection Code field.

  7. In the (LFA2) screen, type C in the Action field.

  8. The Location field defaults to the general ledger location you specified for this terminal in the Master Menu. The location determines which parameters apply. (The parameters in the (LØ) Global Master Parameters screen, which determine the volume serials to use, and the purchasing parameters in the (LF) screen, can both be set differently for each location.)

    You can set up different launches for each general ledger location. To set a launch for location 1, press Tab.

  9. At the Enter Number To Change prompt, enter the line number to set or change. Line numbers are located in the # column in the launcher table. You can specify line numbers 1 through 9. When you enter the line number, it displays as a separate bar at the bottom of the screen with the cursor in the A field.

    To change this line, tab to each field to change. You can enter the new information over the existing information. When you finish, press Enter to save your changes.

  10. The cursor returns to the Action field. To set a launch for another location, repeat Steps 7 - 9. If you do not set launches for a particular location, the parameters default to those set for location 1.
