Going Live on the Automated Short-Buy

The launcher in the (LFA2) screen works together with the [E7] Activities Scheduler function in the (Z) screen. You need to set the [E7] Activities Scheduler to watch for automatic short-buy launches.

 

Note:  The [E7] Activities Scheduler function must be enabled before you can use it. If it is not enabled on your system, contact DDMS Support. For more information about the [E7] function, see Utilities.

  1. Double-click graphics\KEYOPMENUICON16.gif.

  2. Double-click graphics\SYSTEMUTILITIESICON16.gif.

  3. At the Enter Utility Type prompt, type E7. The Program Launcher screen opens.

  4. In the Enter Action field:

  5. To add a new launch, type A.

  6. To test the automated short-buy, type L.

  1. Use the Active window to specify whether to add a live launch or a test launch.

  2. To indicate a live launch, type A.

  3. To indicate a test launch, type I.

Note: To transmit to a wholesaler, this field must be set to A.

  1. In the Day of Week window, tab to Mon-Fri and press Enter.

  2. In the Hour window, tab to ?? and press Enter.

  3. In the Minute window, tab to 15 and press Enter.

  4. In the A.M. or P.M. window, tab to A.M. and press Enter.

  5. In the Device field, press Tab.

  6. In the Program/Proc Name field, type ;SPC:BEGPO

  7. In the Unit/Volume field, type SR?????? and press Tab.

  8. In the Type of File window, type R to select Program.

  9. In the Description field, you can enter a description of this program (Auto Short-Buy Program, for example). Press Tab if you do not fill the entire field.

  10. In the Start Parameters field, press Enter.

  11. In the Save This Event window, type Y.

  12. The Active window reopens. Press Esc. The completed entry for the automated short-buy program displays.
