Voiding Checks
You can correct payroll checks that have been released. However, you must first void the check. Once this is done, you must re-enter the payroll information, recalculate wages and deductions, and print and release the check.

In the (I) Payroll Update screen, select the [V] Void action code.
In the ID # field, retrieve the personnel record for the employee whose check to void. See Retrieving a Personnel Record.
At the Enter Check Number prompt, enter the number of the paycheck to void. Press Enter.
The date and the amount of the check display, along with the Is This the Record prompt. To void the check, type Y.
The cursor returns to the ID # field.
To void another released check, retrieve the employee’s personnel record.
To return to the action code field, press Esc when the cursor is in the ID # field.
To complete this procedure, print a Payroll Quarterly Register and release the check. For instructions on releasing a voided check, see Releasing Voided Checks.
