Releasing Customer Records
In the (+R) Special Release Programs screen, select the [A] Release Customer Records action code.
The Enter Customer to Release # Dept # prompt appears.
In the first field, enter the account number of the customer record to release. If the account number is fewer than 10 characters, press Tab.
In the second field, enter the department number of the customer record to release. If the department number is fewer than four characters, press Tab.
Note: You can release all the customer records by pressing Enter. However, this may tie up your terminal for an extended period of time as the system releases every customer record in the database.
The system displays the following information for the record that most closely matches the one you specified:
Account number
Customer name
Address.
The Is This the Record prompt appears. If the displayed record is the one to release, press Enter or type Y. The system releases the specified record and the cursor returns to the Enter Customer to Release prompt.
At this point, you can release a record for a different customer, as you did for the first. To return to the (+) screen, press Esc.
