Item Aliases

  1. To rebuild the item alias index, go to the text-based (ES) Inventory Alias screen and select the [R] Reindex action code.

  2. At the Enter Password prompt, enter the password from the Reindex field in the (LE) Inventory Parameters screen and press Enter. If no password is set, press Enter at the Enter Password prompt.

  3. To reindex the item alias index, type Y at the Are You Sure prompt.

Note: This is a dedicated function. Be sure no one does any procedure involving the Item database until this procedure is complete. You can begin this procedure by specifying an O/PUS toolbox option. For information, call O/PUS.
