Deleting Multiple Bins from an Item
Before you delete an empty bin from the multiple bin database, you should follow this procedure to delete the bin from the item to which it is assigned. Since deleting the bin from the item does not delete it from the multiple bin database, you can always re-assign the bin to another item after you complete this procedure.
Double-click
. The Item window opens, displaying information for the last item selected.
Tip: Click the Location box and enter the location for the item, if it is not already displayed. If the Location box is not displayed in the toolbar, right-click the toolbar and select Location.
Select the item for which to delete a bin. If you need instructions, see Selecting an Item.
Click
. The Item History window opens, displaying the information for the item you selected.
Click the Bin box in the Multiple Locations and Bins grid that displays the empty bin to delete.
Click
to delete the bin.
The Are You Sure You Want to Delete Location X Bin X message displays.
Click Yes to delete the bin.
Click No to close the message box without deleting the bin.
Note: You cannot delete an inventory location from the item, even if no bins are assigned in the location.
Click
to close the Item History window when you finish deleting empty bins.
Click
in the Item window to save the deletions.
