Credit Cards

When you set up a customer with a credit card account, DDMS displays the information on the screen during order entry credit card transactions. After you complete an order for a customer who is set up with a credit card account and specify credit card as the payment type, a window opens with the following information: credit card number, expiration date, and type of card (Amex, Discover, Visa, and so forth).

Using the attention feature, you can link the credit card info to the attention's account. An attention is the person or cost center to whom the order is going. You can set up a credit card for each attention a customer has. When you retrieve the attention in order entry, you automatically default to that attention's credit card information for the order; however, you can change the credit card while placing the order.
