Get Started With PSN
To get started with ECi PSN services, follow these steps:
1) Meet the requirements for general PSN services
You'll need:
- a DDMS server that meets system requirements.
- the latest released DDMS business system software.
- a broadband connection to the Internet.
Due to the ever-evolving nature of the PSN, the latest released version is required for new DDMS customer installations. DDMS customers can download the latest software update from the ECi Customer Support Portal (https://support.ECiSolutions.com).
2) Meet the requirements for each vendor
For the O/PUS PSN:
- O/PUS PSN services let you download the OPdb multi-vendor catalog database (updated quarterly) and vendor pricing files (some updated as much as daily) via their O/PUS PSNControl software. If you do not already have an O/PUS BPIR account set up for the PSN, you will need it to set up the (+IFI) ID screen. To request your (+IFI) screen account ID to download O/PUS pricing files via PSN, please email opus@ecisolutions.com.
For all vendors:
- Contact each vendor with whom you will be communicating via PSN, and ask them for setup information. They will provide you with your customer code, ID and password that you will need to configure your PSN connection. These credentials vary per vendor; see your vendor's PSN documentation.
- In most cases, you will need to load your vendor's catalog into your DDMS Item database. The loading procedure varies per vendor, some of which are included in the main O/PUS load, and some of which provide individual price files that must be loaded separately; see your O/PUS or Vendor Item File Instructions.
- If you wish to sell your vendor's items on your ECinteractive storefront, their web content must be loaded on the ECinteractive server. If they are not included in your wholesaler's Web content, you may need to load their items into your Custom Catalog. See Setting Up Custom items & Catalogs in ECinteractive (pdf).
3) Request a DDMS PSN ID
Please complete every field on this form; we'll be using the information you submit to update your PSN account.
When you submit this form, you'll see a page with additional information, including a link to the documentation. Please download or print the documentation.
If your vendor PSN services require a software update, please load the software update and obtain your PSN ID before setting up your PSN parameters.
