Office products dealers are automatically subscribed to the Office Products Update Service (O/PUS®). Every quarter, vendors provide catalog item and pricing updates to O/PUS, who releases them to dealers in the OPdb® Multi-Vendor Catalog Update. The OPdb reads and udpates any item record in your Inventory database that uses industry-established keys, such as the stock numbers that vendors provide to O/PUS. This automates the painstaking process of updating your Inventory database and related contracts for multiple vendors.
O/PUS publicizes information about the current quarter on the O/PUS Update Notes page, and provides documentation and FAQs to assist you in your quarter-end procedures.
O/PUS also publishes a quarterly newsletter, FYI² Notes, to report what's new and updated in the current quarter's OPdb, including lists of contracts, flyers, and pricing programs from each supplier.
Some information is not available within the quarterly OPdb® Multi-Vendor Catalog Update. In many cases, suppliers provide confidential pricing files, catalogs, and contracts to certain dealers. In other cases, regional and specialty vendors provide their catalog update files on a subscription-only basis. The O/PUS team makes these confidential files available for download via a broadband Internet connection from the ECi Private Supply Network.
