How to Verify Account Status

One of the reasons this "Software Expires" message may appear is a problem with your account. To inquire about your ECi account status, contact billing@eci2.com.

Within five business days of settling your account, the automated Internet Authorization process should be able to successfully verify your account and remove the "Software Expires" message from your Master Menu.

If the message does not disappear within five business days of settling your account, follow the instructions for verifying authorization below.

How to Verify Authorization

If your account is current, another reason this "Software Expires" message appears is connectivity problems during the automated Internet authorization process.

Manually Launching the Authorization Program

You can run the Internet authorization program manually at any time, by following these steps:

  1. On your DDMS server, make sure your Internet connection is on.
    • If your DDMS server has a continuous connection to the Internet (such as always- on DSL, Cable, T1, Frame Relay, some ISDN connections, etc.), go to step 2.
    • If your DDMS server has a dial-up connection (such as 56K or ISDN modem), connect to the Internet.
    • If your DDMS server is not connected to the Internet at all, fill out the Authorization Verification Request Form below.
  2. To check whether the Internet connection is working, you can open your browser to a news site such as www.cnn.com, and see if the date and time are current.
  3. On your Windows® Taskbar, click Start, then Programs, then ECI, then TblServer, and then Package Authorization.
  4. Your authentication key should already be populated. If it is not, please enter it from the label on the CD that arrived with your Version 6.1.102 software update.
  5. Click Authorize.
    • If authorization is successful, close the Package Authorization window and go to step 6.
    • If authorization is not successful, close the Package Authorization window and fill out the Authorization Verification Request Form below.
  6. Open a new TBL Client window.
