About Credit Card Processing and Approval Link 4

The Utility Extension program is the interface between Approval Link +, Approval Link 4.0 and Net1.

Note: The Utility Extension program requires Java™ 2 Technology Edition, which is included on your software CD.

  1. On your desktop, double-click tblconfigicon.gif.

  2. In the left pane, click Advanced.

  3. From the Advanced list, right-click Server Settings and click Add New.

  1. The Server Setting dialog box opens. In the Setting box, type UtilExtConsole, exactly as shown. (This box is case sensitive.)

  2. Check the Flag box to see the monitoring program running in a window. We recommend checking the Flag box. If you leave the Flag box blank, the program runs in the background.

  3. Click OK.

Note: If UtilExt is not in the Setting Name column, repeat Steps 3 - 5. In the Setting box, type UtilExt, exactly as shown.

  1. Using Windows Explorer, find and open the folder, ddms\utilext. (This is probably on your D: drive.)

  2. Double-click the file UtilExt_Applink.ini.

  3. Using Wordpad, make sure the EciCardFile field is set to True. You may need to set this field manually.

  4. Save your changes.

  5. Using Windows Explorer, find the folder program files\ecommerce industries, inc\eci2 card link. (This is probably on your C: drive.)

  6. Double-click the file UtilExtLink.dll.config

  7. Using Wordpad, make sure the Service Type field is set to Net1. You may need to set this field manually. You also need to enter your Merchant ID and Merchant Key information.

  8. Save your changes. (Make sure you save your changes as a .dll file, not a .txt file.)

  9. Copy the file to the DDMS\Bin folder.

  10. Restart TBL Server.
