About Using a Laundry List
When you enter the Item Detail tab while placing an order, any laundry list set up for the customer automatically displays. This feature lets you quickly choose any laundry list items that a customer may wish to purchase. The laundry list code displays in the Laundry List box at the top of the Item Detail tab. If this box is blank, the customer has not been assigned a laundry list code.
Planning to use a laundry list involves:
Adding and maintaining a list of items for each customer who uses a laundry list.
Assigning the laundry list code to the customer's account in the Laundry List ID box in the Customer Order Entry tab.

When you place orders for a customer with a laundry list, you have three choices; you can select an item from the laundry list and place it on the order, you can select items from the entire Item database, or you can do both.
One of the advantages to using a laundry list is the ability to quickly switch back and forth between the laundry list and the Item database. You can switch back and forth as often as desired.
If you do not want to select an item from the laundry list, simply close the Laundry List dialog box when it opens. The Item Detail tab reopens so you can select an item from the item database.
