Miscellaneous Utility Programs

The ;SPC:MCO program restores your accounts receivable master file, AR-MASTER, if it is lost or becomes corrupted.

 

Although you should have a backup that you can use to retrieve the AR-MASTER file, it may not include your current day’s work. This program updates your AR-MASTER file using the day’s A/R batch file.

 

Make sure you release all batches that should not be written to the A/R Master file, such as cash and cash returns batches, before you run this program. For more information about releasing batches, see Releasing Accounts Receivable Batches.

 

  1. Double-click graphics\KEYOPMENUICON16.gif.

  2. When the Keyop Menu opens, double-click graphics\SYSTEMUTILITIESICON16.gif. The (Z) screen opens.

  3. In the Enter Utility Type field, type B. In the Enter Subset Number field, type 4.

  4. At the Enter File Name field, type ;SPC:MCO and press Tab.

  5. In the Enter Unit # field, type 04.

  6. The system displays a blank screen with the Enter Back Up Volume Serial prompt. Specify the unit where the AR-BATCH file is located and press Enter. The program begins updating the AR-MASTER file, although nothing displays on the screen. When the program finishes, the cursor returns to the Master Menu.
