Setting Parameters

  1. Double-click graphics\KEYOPMENUICON16.gif.

  2. From the Keyop Menu, double-click graphics\PARAMETERS_ICON16.gif.

  3. In the Parameter Editor window, click Text Base Parameters.

  4. The (L) Parameters screen opens. Select the [7] Compensation action code.

  5. The Compensation or Level Parameters prompt appears. Type L.

  6. The system displays the (L7L) screen, and the cursor moves to the action code field. Select the [N] Insert action code.

  7. The cursor moves to the G/L Loc field. This field defaults to location 1. Press Tab to accept the default location, or enter the G/L number for the compensation table to which to add lines.

  8. The cursor moves to the Slsm field.

    To a
    dd lines to the global compensation table, tab past the Slsm field and the corresponding To field to leave them blank.

    To add lines to a compensation table for a range of salespersons, enter the first salesperson number in the range in the Slsm field, and the last salesperson number in the corresponding To field.

    To add lines to a compensation table for a specific salesperson, enter that salesperson number in the first field and corresponding To field.

  9. The cursor moves to the Negative Compensation field. Press Enter.

  10. The system displays the table that most closely matches the one you specified, along with the Input Line to Insert After or Leave Blank to go to Next Page message. To insert a line in the displayed table, enter the number of the line for the new line to follow. If you enter a single-digit number, press Tab.

  11. The system creates a new line, numbered to follow the one you indicated and identical to the one you indicated. The cursor moves to the Scale Dollars From field. Change any fields as necessary for this new line. Press Tab to move to the fields to change, and enter the new information over the existing information. Note: If there is more than one page in the table, press Tab to go to the next page. You can continue to insert lines as necessary as each page appears. If you press Tab at the last page of the table, the system displays the next table with the same salesperson range and redisplays the Input Line message so you can insert lines in the displayed table. When you press Tab at the last page of the table and there are no more tables with the same salesperson range, the cursor returns to the action code field.

  1. When you have tabbed through or completed each field in the line, the system displays an identical line. You can change this line as well, and the system inserts it in the table following the line you just completed. Each time you tab through or complete the fields in a line, the system displays another line for you to change and insert.

  2. When you finish inserting lines, complete or tab through the fields on the last line to add. When the system displays another line, press Esc. The system inserts the lines you changed into the table, and the cursor returns to the Customer Status field so that you can select another table with the same salesperson range for which to add lines.

  3. To add lines to a table with a different salesperson range, press Esc from the Customer Status field. The cursor moves to the first Slsm field so you can specify the salesperson range of the next table to which to add lines. To return the cursor to the action code field, press Esc from the Slsm field.
