In the (EZ1T) Screen
You can use this screen to enter the general ledger accounts you want to use for your serialized information. By specifying accounts, you can easily track your service department’s performance.
Note: If you are using the extended Fifteen-Digit General Ledger and Responsibility Center features and have set up your Chart of Accounts, the system overrides the major and minor account numbers you specify in the (EZ1T) screen. For more information concerning departments and responsibility centers, see Understanding Serialized Responsibility Centers. Fifteen-digit G/L Numbers and Responsibility Centers are not included in all software packages and require authorization. For more information, contact ECi sales.
The (EZ1T) screen has no preset options. All of the fields are blank when you first access the screen. However, DDMS recommends that you view the default responses in this screen to determine whether they fit the needs of your business. Begin by verifying whether the default settings for location 1 are suitable for your business needs. When you have set the parameters for location 1, set up separate parameters for each additional location that you run differently than location 1. If you do not set up separate parameters for a particular location, the parameters set for location 1 are used.
