System Utilities

Note:  This is a dedicated function. Be sure that no one is using the system and that all other terminals are in the Master Menu screen before continuing.

  1. At the Enter File Name field, enter the name of the library to which to add the program. If you do not completely fill the field, press Tab.

  2. In the Enter Unit # field, enter the unit number where the specified library is located.

  3. The Enter V=View, H=Hardcopy, A=Add, D=Delete, P=Pack, E=Extract, L=View Libdat prompt appears. Type A.

  4. The Enter Comments for Libdat Record prompt appears. Enter a description of the library data record that you are adding (for example, Purchase Order Entry) or press Enter to leave the description blank.

  5. The Enter Binary Program File Enter File Name prompt appears. Enter the name of the program to which to add to the library. If you do not completely fill the field, press Tab.

  6. In the Enter Unit # field, enter the unit number where the specified program is located.

  7. The Enter Name to Go Into Library prompt appears. Enter the library name for this file. For example, you might enter :F to identify purchase order entry. Press Enter.

  8. The system adds the file to the library and counts the number of records as they are added. The system repeats the Enter Binary Program File prompt.
