Adding New Journals in the (LGA) Screen

Double-click $graphics\KEYOPMENUICON16.gif$ .
From the Keyop Menu, double-click $graphics\PARAMETERS_ICON16.gif$ .
In the Parameter Editor window, click Text Base Parameters.
The (L) Parameters screen opens. Select the [G] Order Entry action code.

Note: When you rename JOUR-S at the end of each month, you can add the renamed sales journal to the existing list in the (LGA) Sales Journal Parameters screen.

In the (LG) screen, select the [A] Sales Journals action code.
In the (LGA) screen, and select the [N] New Journal action code.

Note: While you can rename your files in the (LGA) screen, manually renaming sales journals can be time consuming and prone to errors. Instead, you should use the [R] Rename Files function in the (MI) Sales Journal Month-End Procedures screen to rename your sales journals at month-end. When you do, you can specify that the system automatically update the (LGA) screen. For more information, see Renaming Sales Journals.

In the G/L Location field, enter the location for which to add a new journal. (This field defaults to the location entered for your terminal in the (L1) Terminal and Tickets Parameters screen.) You can enter a new location or accept the default location:

To accept the default location, press Tab.

To set parameters for a different location, enter the number. If you enter fewer than two characters, press Tab.
After you specify the location, the sales journal in the 1) field of the Journal Name column moves to the 2) field, the journal in the 2) field moves to the 3) field, and so on. If you have 12 journal names listed, the twelfth journal name will move off of the list. The cursor will remain on the first line of the Journal Name field. Specify the name of the sales journal to add and press Enter.
The cursor returns to the action code field.
