Using the Item Query Dialog Box
In the Item Master tab, click
to open the Item Query dialog box. The Number box at the top of the dialog box contains highlighted information. Eight items display, beginning with the item currently displayed in the Item Master tab.
Find the desired item by scrolling up and down the list, using the query feature, or using the Catalog Explorer.
To locate the item by scrolling, use the following instructions:
To view items, scroll up and down through the list using your mouse in the scroll bar, or by pressing the up and down arrow keys.
When you find the item you want, click to highlight it.
Click OK, double-click the item or press Enter to select the highlighted item.
To locate the item using the query feature, use the following instructions:
Tab to the appropriate search box at the top of the Item Query dialog box. This highlights the information currently in the box. (You can use the Number, Company, Description, UPC, Vendor, Vendor #, Page, Price, UM, or On Hand box.)
Type the information for the item you want to select over the highlighted information and press Enter. (This does not destroy the current information.) The first item with information that most closely matches what you typed is highlighted and moved to the top of the list.
Note: If the first item is not the one you want, scroll forward through the list until the item you want displays. If you scroll with the Next and Previous buttons after searching with a search box, items display according to the last search box used. For example, if the last search used the Description box, scrolling displays items in description order, beginning with the last description displayed.
When you find the item you want, click to highlight it.
Click OK, double-click the item or press Enter to select the highlighted item.
