Item History Basic Procedures

In this tab, you can add overflow bins, enhanced bins, and edit bin totals. You can also view bin items and quickly access the Warehouse menu. If you are viewing a serialized item, the Item History Enhanced Bins tab can only be used for viewing information on machine bins. You can view bin number, current quantity, reset date, filled date, and pulled date.

 

For the enhanced bin feature to work, you must set the Activate Extended Bin Management box in the Warehouse General Configuration Parameters window to Y. For more information, see Parameters.

Note: The enhanced bin feature is not included in all software packages and may require authorization. For more information, contact ECI² sales.

  1. From the Item window, click HISTORY16.gif.

  2. In the Item History window, click the Enhanced Bins tab.

  3. In this tab, you can add pulling bins, edit bin totals, transfer bin items, replace bins, and remove enhanced bins.

    You can also view bin items and quickly access the Warehouse menu. To view bin items or access the Warehouse menu, click the Tools menu.

    To add pulling bins, right-click on any box in the top grid (Pulling Bins). For example, right-click the Code box. You can also click Enhanced and select Add Pulling Bin or type Ctrl + P. The Add to Aux Bin dialog box opens. For more information, see In the Add to Aux Bin Dialog Box.

    To edit bin totals, right-click on any box. For example, right-click the Code box. You can also click Enhanced and select Edit Bin Totals or type Ctrl + E. The Add to Aux Bin dialog box opens. For more information, see In the Add to Aux Bin Dialog Box.

    To transfer bin items, right-click on any box. For example, right-click the Code box. You can also click Enhanced and select Transfer Bin Items or type Ctrl + T. The Transfer Items from Source Bin to Destination Bin window opens. For more information, see In the Transfer Items from Source Bin to Destination Bin Window.

    To replace bins, right-click on any box. For example, right-click the Code box. You can also click Enhanced and select Replace Bin or type Ctrl + R. The Choose a Bin to Switch To dialog box opens. For more information, see In the Add to Aux Bin Dialog Box.

    To remove enhanced bins, right-click on any box. For example, right-click the Bin box. You can also click Enhanced and select Remove Enhanced Bin or type Ctrl + M. The system prompt you for the password set in the Delete field in the (LE) Inventory Parameters screen. After you enter the correct password, click Yes at the Are You Sure prompt.

    To add overflow bins, right-click on any box in the bottom grid (Overflow Bins). You can also click Enhanced and select Add Overflow Bin or type Ctrl + O. The Add to Aux Bin dialog box opens. For more information, see In the Add to Aux Bin Dialog Box.
     

  4. Click CLOSE16.gif to close the Item History window.

Note: For the enhanced bin information to be properly updated if you performing a credit return in Order Entry, set the item's Disposition to Receipts. Next, perform the Release to Bin process in the Warehouse menu. Then release the item to on-hand inventory by running the [H] Stock Receipts Report function in the (TR) Order Entry Reports screen.
