Adding History for Inventory Locations
You can add history for an inventory location when you add it or at a later time.
Double-click
. The Item window opens, displaying information for the last item selected.
Tip: Click the Location box and enter the location for the item, if it is not already displayed. If the Location box is not displayed in the toolbar, right-click the toolbar and select Location.
Select the item for which to make a change. If you need instructions, see Selecting an Item.
Click
. The Item History window opens, displaying the information for the item you selected.
To add history for an existing inventory location:
Click the Inventory tab.
Click the inventory total line for the inventory location you want to use (in the Multiple Locations and Bins grid). The inventory location you chose displays in the Current Inventory Location box.
Click the History tab to add history for the inventory location you selected. Go to Step 6.
To add history for a new inventory location, you must first assign the inventory location to the item. Follow these steps:
Click the Inventory tab.
Click
. The Add Item Aux Record dialog box opens.
Type the new inventory location number in the New Location box and click OK. A location total line for the new inventory location appears in the grid.
Click the Loc box in the grid that displays the new inventory location. This selects the inventory location and displays it in the Current Inventory Location box.
Click the History tab to add history for the inventory location you selected. Go to Step 6.
Click
. Any history for the selected inventory location displays in the History tab. The cursor is in the Month1-12 box. You can add history to this location.
When you are finished making changes, click
in the Item window.
When you close the Item window, you are prompted to save changes.
