Getting Started on Furniture

While setting all the Furniture Order Entry parameters is not required before using the application, there is one option you may want to set to save yourself time and keystrokes. With the (L1) option, you can directly access the Furniture Order Entry window, without having to view the Commercial Order Entry window first.

 

To set your terminal to directly access the Furniture Order Entry window, you must set the O/E Type field for your terminal in the (L1) Terminal and Ticket Parameters screen to F. Once you set this option, the Furniture Order Entry window automatically opens when you start the Order Entry application.

  1. Double-click graphics\KEYOPMENUICON16.gif, then double-click graphics\PARAMETERS_ICON16.gif.

  2. In the Parameter Editor window, click Text Base Parameters.

  3. The (L) Parameters screen opens. Select the [1] Terminal & Tickets action code.

  4. The (L1) Terminal and Ticket Parameters screen opens. Select the [C] Change action code.

  5. When the cursor moves to the Starting Terminal field, press Tab until the cursor moves to the O/E Type field.

  6. In the O/E Type field, type F.

  7. To save your changes, press Enter until the cursor returns to the action code field. If you press Esc before doing so, your changes are not saved.
