Using Credit Cards with Auto Billing
Double-click
. The Customer window opens, displaying the information for the last customer used.
Select the customer to set up with credit card information. For details on selecting a customer, see Selecting a Customer.
After you select the customer, click
.
In the Credit Card Password box, enter the password from the Credit Card field in the (LA) screen. If no password is set in the (LA) screen, click OK to continue.
The Credit Card List Dialog Box opens, displaying the credit cards assigned to this customer.
Click the Auto Bill check box for the credit card to use for Auto Billing. This tells the system to use this credit card information when processing auto bill invoices for the customer. If the customer pays any auto bill invoices by credit card, you must click this box.
Close the Credit Card dialog box.
After you set the Auto Bill box, you must set up DDMS to handle any auto bill invoices that are not paid by credit card for this customer. Click
to open the Auto Billing Items Dialog Box.
Highlight the item for which to override the credit card information. Click
to open the Auto Bill Detail dialog box with the item's information.
In the Override Credit Card Information box, type Y. Click Apply. Suppose the customer has three auto bill items, two of which are paid by credit card. In this case, click the Auto Bill box. For the remaining item not paid by credit card, use the Override Credit Card Information box in the Auto Bill Detail dialog box. After you retrieve the item in the Auto Bill Detail dialog box, you set the Override Credit Card Information box to Y. This notifies DDMS that the customer is not paying for this particular item by credit card. If you leave the Override Credit Card Information box blank or type N, the system charges all the customer's auto bill items to their credit card.
Repeat these steps for each item you choose to override. When you are done, close the Auto Bill dialog boxes to return to the Customer Master Tab.
