Setting Up Shipto Based Tax Rates
Go the text-based (AX) screen and select the [C] Change action code.
In the Name field, retrieve the customer for which you are changing shipping addresses. You can retrieve customers by name, account number, or account number and department number.
At the Change A=Attentions, S=Shipto Addresses, C=Credit Cards prompt, type S.
The existing shipping addresses set up for this customer in the Shipto Listing portion of the screen display. At the Enter Line # prompt, enter the number of the shipping address you want to change. For example, to change the second shipping address, type 1.
Tab to the Taxable field. Type Y if the customer’s shipping address is taxable. Type N if it is non-taxable.
In the Dist field, enter the tax district you want to assign this shipping address. If you do not completely fill the field, press Enter.
In the Route field, press Enter to accept the default route, or specify the route to assign this shipping address.
The shipping address is changed as you specified. The cursor returns to the Enter Line # prompt so you can continue to change shipping addresses for this customer’s account. When you finish, press Esc.
