National Drop Ship

You set up customers as national drop ship accounts through the Customer Shipto/Attention tab. If a customer is set up as a national drop ship account, every order is automatically drop shipped unless the drop ship feature is manually turned off. In addition, DDMS flags national drop ship customers in the Order Entry screen. When you select the Order or Drop Ship action code and select a national drop ship customer.

  1. Double-click CUSTOMERICON16.gif. Select a customer as you normally would. For instructions, see Selecting a Customer.

  2. To set up a customer as a national drop ship customer, go to the Customer Shipto/Attention tab. For instructions on entering a shipping address, see Adding a Shipping Address.

  3. Click the DS box. To make this customer a national drop ship account, type Y.

  4. Click SAVE-SMALL16.gif.

Note: If the national drop ship option is on when you place an order in Order Entry, the items on the order are automatically backordered. Therefore, the Ship column in the Order Entry tab is always blank for these orders.
