Customer Basic Procedures

To place a customer on hold, you must first set up exempt codes in the (LA1) Customer History Parameters screen. You can also enter a corresponding message for the exempt codes in the (LA1) screen. When a customer that has been assigned one of these codes is retrieved in order entry, an order cannot be placed and the corresponding message displays.

  1. Double-click graphics\CUSTOMERICON16.gif. The Customer window opens, displaying the information for the last customer selected.

  2. Select the customer to place on hold. If you need instructions on selecting a customer, see Selecting a Customer.

  3. Go to the Customer Order Entry tab.

  4. In the O/E Exempt box, enter an exempt code from the (LA1) screen. For more information, see In the (LA1) Screen.

  5. Click graphics\SAVE-SMALL16.gif to save the changes.
