Customer Basic Procedures

The Cash customer is a special customer account, which can be used to keep an account of cash sales. This account is required in a Point-of-Sale setting.

  1. Double-click graphics\CUSTOMERICON16.gif. The Customer window opens, displaying the information for the last customer selected.

  2. In the Master tab, click graphics\ADD_A_RECORD16.gif. The information in the Master tab clears and the cursor moves to the Acct # box.

  3. In the Acct # box, enter an account number for this Cash customer. If you are creating a Cash customer for several stores, you might enter the store number as the account number. For example, if this Cash customer is for store 1, you could enter 1 as the account number.

  4. In the Name box, enter the name for this Cash customer. Using the same example of store number 1, you might enter Cash Customer Store 1.

  5. Assign the Cash customer a nonchargeable status code (1-9 or A-F). Enter this status in the Status box in the Master tab.

  6. After you add the Cash customer, click graphics\SAVE-SMALL16.gif to save changes.
