About Customer Parameters
Customer parameters determine how you create the customer database and how individual customer database records are treated. These parameters are set in the (LA) Customer And A/R Parameters screen. There are also certain fields in the (LG3) Order Entry Pricing Parameters screen that affect the auto billing feature in specific ways. You also set Customer Parameters in the Parameter Editor window.
Preset parameters are provided for location 1 when you receive DDMS. This means that even if you make no changes to the parameters, you can use the system. However, you may determine that one or more of the preset parameters needs to be changed to best suit the needs of your business, or that you need to set up additional locations.
Note: The information you enter in parameter screens is stored in the file PARAMETERS.
